A-3 SKYWARRIOR WHIDBEY MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
P.O. BOX 1402
OAK HARBOR, WA 98277

Our Mission: To place an A-3 Skywarrior aircraft on static display at the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, as a memorial to those who flew it, those who perished, and those who provided support for the aircraft and its missions. The A-3 and its crews shall not be forgotten.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: APRIL 13TH MEETING

During the past nine years, the concept, request for, organization, funding, delivery, restoration, painting and dedication of an A-3 Skywarrior at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island was realized. Thank you to all that made the dream a success. Now it is time to chart new territory and look ahead to the future of the A-3 Skywarrior Whidbey Memorial Foundation. You, the membership, define the education based non-profit foundation and your input is desired to determine the future, identify the leadership, and to respond to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island tasking with regard to complying with the National Naval Aviation Museum directives as applies to names on display aircraft.

On Friday, April 13, 2018 at 1 pm, the A-3 Skywarrior Whidbey Memorial Foundation will conduct a general membership meeting in the Mount Baker Room at the CPO Club on Ault Field Road, Oak Harbor, WA. Our organization's future will be determined, nominations and elections will be conducted, and a response to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island with consensus for "no names" or "historical names" on the aircraft will be worked out.

You are cordially invited to participate in the general membership meeting. We do desire a head count in advance to ensure adequate space and set up in the CPO Club, so please RSVP by mail to our P.O. Box 1402, Oak Harbor, WA 98277, by email or telephone no later than April 10th to Bill Conley at William.d.conley@navy.mil  or Bill Burklow at 360-682-5514 or Bill Young at capthawk@whidbey.net  or 360-679-4843.

The CPO Club will be available for lunch from 11 am to 1 pm, for those traveling or wanting a great meal from a select menu. The Directors and Officers look forward to seeing you on April 13th.

Our Major Donors

wpe2.jpg (3909 bytes)We, the members of the A-3 Skywarrior Whidbey Memorial Foundation, are pleased and proud to announce that we have received a $15,000 donation from Island Thrift toward completing our A-3 Whidbey Memorial. This, with their previous donation of $10,000, makes this local organization in Oak Harbor, Washington, the single largest contributor to date. Island Thrift is generous and conscientious about supporting local history, Navy and Community activities. It is hoped that when you are in Oak Harbor, whether you live here or just visiting, that you would consider dropping by Island Thrift and either shopping there or donating at their location, and most of all just leaving your thanks for all their support.

Our grateful appreciation goes to the
Northrop Grumman Corporation
for their generous donation of $2,500.00!

Our thanks to Pratt and Whitney for their donation of $500.
